Tom spoke about the song in a press statement:
"I have been a fan of Aurora and her music for many years and it was a dream come true to make this song together. It's a song about spending the day with somebody you really like and at the end of the day having to say goodbye to them, not knowing if you will ever see them again, but being happy for the experience regardless."[2]

- Tom Odell supplied the song for John Lewis' UK Christmas commercial in 2014, a cover of "Real Love" by John Lennon/The Beatles. Aurora considered submitting a song that year, but didn't. She provided the song the next year, a cover "Half the World Away" by Oasis.
- Jonny Coffer who co-wrote this song, also co-wrote "La La La", a song which Aurora has covered live.
