"Forgotten Love" is the eleventh single released by AURORA and the second single from her 2nd album Infections of a Different Kind - Step 1. On August 17, 2018 the song was officially released worldwide.
About the song
"'Forgotten Love' is a song I wrote about how when we choose to fall in love with someone, either a partner or even just the love you have for a friend, we know the risk it takes. How much it would hurt if we would lose this person who we love this much." - AURORA[1]
About the cover art of the single, AURORA explained on her Instagram account on the song's one year birthday, "I painted this self portrait last minute cause we didn’t have any cover for it. Or I had been painting it for a while, but I didn’t show it to anyone before I realized this would be a perfect fit. I had to paint in-between festival shows, and every time I came home again the painting still hadn’t dried off, so I could continue like no time had ever passed. It was a beautiful time-pocket for me. Still feeling the touch from the people of the past."[2]
