Frozen Planet II (Original Television Soundtrack) is the soundtrack album for the 2022 nature documentary TV show with the same name, made for BBC Earth. The soundtrack is composed by Hans Zimmer, Adam Lukas & James Everingham, and features AURORA on 21 of the 35 tracks.
The digital album was released worldwide on October 7, 2022.[1][2] A CD version was released on October 21, 2022[3] and a vinyl version[1] released on June 9, 2023.[4]
Background[]
On August 27, 2022, Aurora sang "Take Me Back Home" live at Earth Prom, in promotion for the TV show. The song does not appear on the album.
The BBC show premiered on September 11, 2022.[5] Simultaneously, its opening theme song "The Frozen Planet" was officially released worldwide.[6]
