"Gentle Earthquakes" is the third track on the album Infections of a Different Kind - Step 1.[1] It was written by Aurora, Couros Sheibani, Fiona Bevan and Jakwob, and produced by Tim Bran, Roy Kerr and Askjell.
About the song[]
"Gentle Earthquakes" came to Aurora in a dream during her time in the studio at La Fabrique in the south of France.
"The whole song is inspired by the dream I had the night before I woke up that morning. I dreamt about walking in the same halls and about making music: I couldn't leave in any way before I finished my work."[2]
This song is possibly about the LGBT community and sex itself, but this depends on the person who listens to the song since Aurora has stated that the songs on this album can have different meanings to everyone depending on how deep you dive into them.
Demos[]
It's been confirmed by an associate of Aurora that "Gentle Earthquakes" was made by combining two different pre-existing demos.
During 2018, a song titled "Eleventh Hour" was registered on song repertoires, a title that can be seen in the lyrics of "Gentle Earthquake". While there is a possibility the song is an entirely different one, it can be assumed that "Eleventh Hour" is one of the two demos used for the song. The two also share the same songwriters and demos have previously been registered, further cementing this idea. Not much is known about this demo.
