Glassnote Records (also known as their record company Glassnote Music,[1] or their holding company Glassnote Entertainment Group LLC) is a record label launched by American music executive Daniel Glass in 2007.
The label has a roster of primarily indie rock and alternative rock artists, like Mumford & Sons and Phoenix. They have also released music from popular artists in other genres, such as Chvrches, Childish Gambino and Secondhand Serenade.
As an independent label, they have partnered with various distributors over the years. For AURORA, digital distribution in their regions was done by Universal Music Group (2014 to November 17, 2018), AWAL (until mid 2022),[2] The Orchard (until 2025)[3] and currently by Virgin Media Group. Liberator Music handled the distribution for Australia & New Zealand in the first few years. Upon switching distributors, digital releases are sometimes briefly unavailable and/or were moved to new entries, meaning that for example Spotify and YouTube links or their accessibility have changed over the years.
Signing Aurora[]
AURORA was signed by Glassnote approximately September 2014[4] for USA, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico.
