Vilde Iris Hartveit Kolltveit, artist name Iris Caltwait (previously Iris, stylized in lowercase), is a singer, songwriter and producer from Bergen, Norway.

Iris was born into a music-loving family near Bergen, with four older siblings who all played instruments while she was growing up. One of her earliest memories is dozing off on her father's shoulders at a Metallica concert, only to be woken by the pyrotechnics. Raised on The Beatles' Rubber Soul ("Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" was a favourite), Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell, she traces her own creative endeavours back to the seven-minute, a cappella songs she would record on her first phone in the bedroom she shared with her brother. "Ten verses, no chorus. Not impressive at all," she says, "but at least it was something..." Long-since erased in embarrassment, the tracks were the first sign of her vivid, novelistic approach to making music.

Her debut single "From Inside a Car" was released on January 16, 2019. Her debut EP, A Sensitive Being, was released on April 10, 2019. Her debut studio album Love and Other Disasters was released in 2021.[1] Its lead single, "Lavender and Heaven", was released on November 6, 2020. Her songs were streamed over 4 million times in the first eight months of her campaign[2] and she was awarded the P3-prisen for Årets nykommer (Newcomer of the Year) in 2019.[3]

In 2025, Iris changed her artist name to Iris Caltwait and started releasing new music.[4][5] Her sophomore album Again, for the First Time is set to release on November 7, 2025.[6]

Aurora considers Iris one of her closest friends. Iris supported Aurora at her 2019 shows in Norway.[7] Aurora directed the music video of Iris' single "To Be Mine (Is to Lose Your Mind)".[8]
