Once Aurora (Norwegian title: En gang Aurora) is a feature-length documentary about AURORA. It was produced by Flimmer Film and directed by Benjamin Langeland and Stian Servoss. The film has two versions: a theatrical version and a version made for television.
Scenes were filmed during AURORA's 2016, 2017 and 2018 tours, as well as at La Fabrique, France, during the recording of her second album. The film features several of Aurora's friends and collaborators, as well as snippets of at least two unreleased songs: "Spotlight" and "Witches" (as noted in the credits).
On April 5, 2018, a teaser video titled "Our Queendom Come" was published. On September 28, 2018, Aurora shared another teaser from the documentary to promote the release of her album Infections of a Different Kind - Step 1.
On December 9, 2018, the TV version premiered on Norwegian national TV.[1] The theatrical version toured the film festival circuit in 2019-2020 and it was officially released worldwide on March 21, 2020. The theatrical version is currently available on Vimeo[2] and in the USA via Amazon Prime,[3] YouTube Movies & TV,[4] Google Play[5] and Tubi.[6] The TV version was previously also on Finnish TV.[7]
