"Paramour" (stylized in all caps) is a song by American artist Sub Urban featuring AURORA on vocals and credited as co-writer. On November 19, 2021, it was officially released worldwide as a single.[1] It featured as the third track on Sub Urban's debut studio album Hive (stylized in all caps).[2]
About the song[]
The song is about a parent's disapproval of their daughter's love life and the implications for everybody involved. Sub Urban and Aurora spoke about "Paramour" to Genius for their Verified series[3] and Sub Urban explained:
"So this song is really describing the dynamic of your partner getting flak and that returning to you. In some situations, extreme situations, getting kicked out of their own house because of sexual relations or pre-marital sexual relations."
