About the song
She said to the 405: "I love to sing this song live. It reminds me of my roots. It's dark, a bit folky and it got tiny inspirations on percussion etc. from some Norwegians metal bands. I love heavy metal".[1]
To her, it’s more cathartically emotional than ’emo’; “I’ve always been very drawn to sadness and to nightmares and to scary stories or going out in the dark – I don’t know why. There’s something (whispers) mystical about it – which is very exciting, isn’t it?”[2]
