"We Were Going to Do That" is an unreleased song by AURORA. She performed the song live from 2014 through 2016.
The song is registered on various song repertoires. It is unknown why the song was not released on either her Running with the Wolves EP, or on her debut album All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend.
In spring 2017, a 9-second snippet of a studio version was leaked.[1] In 2018, the full song was leaked in low quality and it leaked in higher quality on December 2, 2018.

A session was recorded at Room 17 of Daytrotter studios in New York on October 23, 2014[2] and published on May 8, 2015.[3][4] The session was also posted on the Daytrotter YouTube channel, but this song was made private.[5]

- An unknown version of the song (3:21 long) was available to listen in December 2013 to promote one of her first festival appearances.[6][7]
- It is possible that two different versions of the song exist: early performances (such as the Daytrotter rendition) reflecting a Running with the Wolves version, and the leaked studio version being intended for All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend. This is purely speculation.
- The song evolved in its live versions as well, most notably in the song's structure and chorus melodies.
